I think the most positive way in which to teach, is to model. One of the greatest hopes I have for students and all children alike is to become lifelong learners – eager to experience and grow from each experience through reflection and motivation. I have been blessed to experience that same love of learning and thus it has become my passion to instill it upon my students by modeling that behavior through various mediums.

The Southwest Virginia Early Childhood Conference
April 27, 2013
I attended the Southwest Virginia Early Childhool Conference. I feel that attending workshops to learn more specifically about different areas of education and new methods for teaching, is a wonderful way to refresh our ideas about teaching and reflect upon our own ways of running the classroom. As a conscious learner, I feel that is it important to consistently read new literature, discuss ideas with colleagues, attend workshops and experiment with positive teaching alternatives, in order to grow professional and individually.
